A huge #SOTA Shout Out to Ja’Nae Russell, Live Audio Student and Tech Arts super star!
Originally from Michigan, she moved to Texas over five years ago. Although she came to pursue a music degree in piano, she ended up with so much more!
“When I first came I wanted to be a part of the Tech Arts team, but I thought that I wasn’t equipped enough to serve. I thought that maybe after a couple of years, I’d be ready to serve. To my surprise I was very wrong! I was able to get into the school, and immediately start the hands-on training, and then I started serving!”
She began her journey with The School of Tech Arts in August of 2015, and is on the fast track to landing a career in the exciting field of live production! Already working with Gateway Tech Arts Southlake and Dallas teams, and learning from other industry pros, she’s quickly building a strong resume. But it’s not just about a career for her, as she knows the importance of building relationships, trust, and an atmosphere of moving together with a team towards a common goal.
“One of the most valuable things that I have learned at the School of Tech Arts is that Tech Arts isn’t just another job, it is ministry as well. Even though we are in the background doing audio, video, or lighting we still are ministering and we have a big part to play in ministry.”
We’re proud of you, Ja’Nae, and look forward to seeing all the great things to come!
“I never thought I would have come this far… I feel grateful to have this experience, and thankful to everyone who has helped me along this journey.”
