Live Video 101

An introduction to the essential concepts and practices of effective live video production, including an overview of the evolution from analog to digital, system component operation, camera techniques, shading and color correction, robotic cameras and switcher operation. Video 101 & 102 are 12-week, five-hour courses intended to equip students to operate and manage video systems in medium to large-sized venues with an emphasis on facilitating concerts and other live events. Video 101 will serve as a prerequisite for 102 and all other Video courses. Includes weekly 2 hour Lab and hands-on volunteering in Tech Arts.

Live Video 201

An in-depth look at advanced concepts and practices for producing professional results when directing video in live environments, including advanced switcher techniques, shot composition and selection, pre-planning strategies, effective communication and leading the team. This is a six-week, 3 hour intensive course that will include several guest instructors who are leaders in the video industry. Requires weekly Lab and/or outside research and coursework.
Prerequisite: Live Video 101 & 102

ProPresenter 101

A complete course equipping students to leverage Renewed Vision’s ProPresenter software to enhance the presentation or worship experience in any venue. This course covers everything from setting up the software to advanced skills such as Social Media integrations, projector blending, Telestrator, and much more!
